Disappointed! We are absolutely shocked, sad and angry too. We have been walking on the Eisenberg several times and then with our dogs in the Eisenberghütte. It's just a nice place to visit and the food was okay. We (grandma, grandpa, mom with 1 year old child and dogs) sat OUTSIDE on one of the free places, the restaurant was empty. Our dogs, well behaved, sleeping under the table. The landlord sees us and speaks to us in a tone that was absolutely not okay, so you don't talk to customers. We should leave the restaurant, as our dogs could disturb other people, by the way, we were the only visitors in this restaurant inside and outside, there was no other guest and our dogs were under the table and not in the way. I note; We have already been there several times with our dogs - in the case of heavy rain, even inside permitted - and suddenly dogs are no longer welcome and guests and their hungry toddlers are thrown out ?! This has never happened to me before. Furthermore; Many people have their dogs with them on these hiking trails, so there were always dogs in the restaurant when we were there. Of course it was not an option for us to bring the dogs into the car as it was too warm in our opinion - but the landlord didn't even offer us this option - he asked us to leave without suggesting a solution. I am still not clear why the landlord suddenly had a problem with the dogs and never before, but I am of the opinion that such a problem can certainly be clarified through a conversation and various solution options, unfortunately he did not allow this and asked us very questionable arguments for going on. Sad! Incidentally, no dog signs were to be found anywhere. We will never do that to ourselves again, I will advise everyone I know against after this experience, you can save yourself the journey.

Great restaurant, all ordered meals were homemade and very tasty, even chicken nuggets and dessert waffles. The service was very friendly.

After the ascent to the castle and the amazing view, we were rewarded with a delicious lunch. Very nice waitresses. Keep it up .... Ate very well there in 2019 and 2020.

I was thrilled by the Eisenberg hut. Nicely located, food offer manageable, but super tasty. Everyone will find a delicacy on the menu. An ascent to the castle complex (approx. 500m) with a tower visit is recommended. A great view.

The meal was okay. The view in sunshine is a real pleasure! The view from the Eisenberg tower into the Waldecker Land is very beautiful.

Nice hut on the edge of the ruined castle of Goldhausen. Nice destination for a short hike around or on the mountain. The menu is manageable and the prices are moderate. It's worth a visit!

Very nice and cozy "hut magic" ambience. Delicious and hearty home cooking. I myself can recommend the schnitzel and the tarte flambée. For some, however, more like a snack. Would give a 4.5. But give a 5 instead of a 4 because of the coziness
